Honeywell has expanded its presence in India with the launch of a new facility for Honeywell Automation India Ltd (HAIL) in Pune.
This is the company’s seventh manufacturing facility in the country and the third in Pune.
The city also has automation and turbocharger manufacturing plants and has invested Rs 500 crore over the years.
“The Pune facility is the second manufacturing location we have built in India this year alone," Thomas A. Szlosek, Senior VP and CFO, Honeywell International, said.
The new plant will integrate manufacturing, factory testing, quality control and advanced manufacturing engineering for Honeywell’s automation business in India. The consolidation will create efficiencies and improve productivity, he said.
Among the products that will be manufactured here are Honeywell’s flagship solution, the Experion Process Knowledge System, a range of pressure and temperature transmitters, and process safety systems.
