Honeywell India will open a $200-million facility in Bengaluru later this year. The firm plans to bring together all its employees in the city to the facility.
“We have about 8,000 employees in Bengaluru. We will bring them all to the new facility to achieve synergies,” Vikas Chadha, President, Honeywell India, told BusinessLine .
The firm has about 15,000 employees in India, which contributes over $1 billion to the company’s global revenues of $40 billion.
CSR programmeChadha was here in connection with the launch of the 75th Safe Water Network facility in Telangana. Honeywell is supporting the initiative as part of its corporate social responsibility programme. “We would like to support 25 more by the end of 2018 to take the total to 100 in Telangana, reaching out to about 3 lakh people,” he said.
Asked whether part of the $100-million Honeywell global investment fund will be allocated to India, he said it was about encouraging future technologies. “If some projects come from India, we are open,” he said.
