Sanitaryware major HSIL Ltd has launched a line of air coolers with changeable colourful front panels under their brand Hindware Snowcrest.

The air coolers range bolsters the Consumer Products Division of HSIL, which offers water heaters, air and water purifiers, exhaust fans and kitchen equipment.

Launching the new range here today, Sandip Somany, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, HSIL Ltd. said, “We aim to grow our consumer business manifold and continue to offer top-of-the-line products. The consumer products division has generated volumes for us, and has helped us reach out to a newer target audience.”

“We plan to introduce more variants this year under the water and air purification categories and kitchen appliances category apart from consolidating our strength in the water heaters segment. With the positive sentiment owing to recent Budget announcement and a resurgence of customer sentiment, we have a positive outlook for the remainder of the year,” he said.

Rakesh Kaul, President, Consumer Business, HSIL Ltd said, “After the soft launch of air-coolers in March 2016, we expect to consolidate our presence in the market with the new enhanced air cooler range.”

Kaul said Hindware Snowcrest Air Coolers will be offered across 4,000 retail outlets and would also be sold through e-commerce platforms and brick-n-mortar outlets.

The country's Rs 3,650-crore air-cooler market, with a penetration of 10 per cent, is growing at about 16 per cent, with the organised sector contributing about Rs 1,200 crore and the rest coming from the unorganised sector.

The new desert, personal and window categories are available in 14 models ranging from 18 litres to 100 litres and are priced in the range of Rs 8,990 to Rs 17,990.
