Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL), the country’s second largest car manufacturer and largest passenger car exporter, on Thursday introduced the New 2017 Elite i20 priced between ₹5.36 lakh and ₹9.09 lakh (ex-showroom).

The new version has features encompassing safety, style and infotainment. The New 2017 Elite i20 is equipped with six-airbags making it the only car in its segment with front dual, side and curtain airbags, the company said.

“The Elite i20 has been a runaway global success, selling over 300,000 units since its launch in 2014. The New 2017 Elite i20, with more First-in-Segment features, will further enhance the brand’s appeal offering premium safety, performance and exceptional driving experience," Y. K. Koo, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, HMIL, said.

The New 2017 Elite i20 CES with engine options of 1.4 U2 CRDi Diesel (90 PS/4,000 RPM and 22.4 KGM /1,500-2,750 RPM) that comes with 6-Speed Manual Transmission, 1.2 Kappa Dual VTVT Petrol (83 PS/6,000 RPM and 11.7 KGM /4,000RPM), 5-Speed Manual Transmission and 1.4 Dual VTVT Petrol (100 PS/6,000RPM and 13.5 KGM/ 4,000 RPM) that comes in 4-Speed Automatic Transmission, he said.

Some of the convenient features include Smart Entry, Rear AC Vents, R16 Diamond Cut Alloys and safety features such as ABS, rear defogger and fog lamps that enhance the overall appeal of the car, the company said.

Adding to the modern premium look, the new 2017 Elite i20 has a first-in-segment 7.0 touchscreen Audio Video Navigation with smartphone connectivity, supporting Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link features for technology savvy customers, it added.
