Indian Oil Corporation and HCL Technologies have been conferred with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India’s national award for excellence in corporate governance 2012.
Chairman of Jury and Former Chief Justice of India M.N. Venkatachaliah presented the awards to these two companies here on Friday.
Both IOC and HCL Tech were adjudged as the best governed companies for 2012.
The ICSI has also conferred a Life Time Achievement Award to Deepak Parekh, Chairman of Housing Development Finance Corporation, for translating excellence in corporate governance into reality.
Five companies were also presented with certificate of recognition. These are CMC, Engineers India, ONGC, Persistent Systems and Power Grid Corporation.
