Kamat Hotels (India) Ltd (KHIL) is targeting tier-II cities in the South for expansion.
This Maharashtra-headquartered company, engaged in hospitality and allied businesses, is currently focused on expanding its base through the franchisee route under the VITS brand.
Its first franchise property at Tirupur is scheduled to open on March 1. Le Pebbles, a 33-room hotel in Tirupur, is being rebranded as VITS, Le Pebbles, Vikram V. Kamat, Executive Director of KHIL, said, adding 'this would be the sixth hotel under the VITS brand'.
The company already operates hotels under the VITS brand at Pune, Nashik, Bhubaneswar, Aurangabad and Mumbai.
It is close to inking two other deals in Andhra Pradesh and expanding its base in towns such as Madurai and Salem in Tamil Nadu soon.
KHIL has established four brands including The Orchid – An Ecotel Hotel in the 5-star segment, VITS Luxury Business Hotel in the 4-star segment, Gadh Hotels and Lotus Resorts.
