M.V. Subba Rao, Director (Commercial) of KIOCL Ltd (formerly Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Ltd), assumed additional charge as Chairman and Managing Director of the company on Saturday. He succeeds Malay Chatterjee, who laid down office on completion of a five-year tenure with KIOCL, according to a press release here.
As Director (Commercial), Rao was able to improve turnover above ₹1,800 crore, it said.
Rao has presented and published several technical papers related to steel making, sponge iron and modernisation of the steel industry, it added.
