KSB Pumps Ltd, a maker and seller of power-driven pumps and industrial valves in India, has inaugurated a new cast iron foundry at its existing facilities in Vambori near Ahmednagar.
With the addition of a new high-pressure moulding line, along with a tri-track induction furnace, the cast iron foundry division can now meet international quality standards. With an annual capacity of 3,600 mt, the foundry can take care of all critical cast iron castings required in India and the KSB Group overseas.
The salient features of the new shed include a fume extraction and dust collector system, a recyclable sand system for mould and core-making and LPG-fired core ovens.
KSB India has manufacturing facilities at five locations in India, currently the largest outside Germany, and serves as an important sourcing location for KSB Pumps Ltd.
