Karur-headquartered Lakshmi Vilas Bank is gearing up to shift its corporate office to Chennai.
“We will be shifting our corporate office by June-end. Our regional office and some back-office processes will however continue to operate out of Karur,” the bank’s Chief Executive Rakesh Sharma told Business Line. The bank had acquired a building at Guindy in Chennai about 2 years back. This is being renovated to facilitate the shift from Karur to Chennai.
“The interiors are being refurbished. Nearly 80 per cent of the work is over. We expect the work to be complete within the next fortnight or so,” he said.
“We are shifting for logistic convenience; we also foresee good business potential in Chennai,” he added.
