Lanco Solar Energy, a fully-owned subsidiary of Lanco Infratech Ltd, has won the IESA Award for most innovative product 2012. The award was presented at the Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association’s annual event ‘IESA Vision Summit’ in Bangalore. It was awarded for an innovative plug-and-play solar photovoltaic product offering an off-grid solar solution in the urban and rural hinterlands.
The modular design is scalable from a single-family rooftop installation to village mini-grids to large urban residential and industrial rooftops. Several of these installations are operational in the country. L. Madhusudhan Rao, Executive Chairman, Lanco Infratech Ltd, in a statement said: “IESA Technovation Award is a recognition of our innovation and focus on continuous improvement in delivery of renewable solutions at affordable cost.”
Lanco Solar has a portfolio of about 400MW of solar power projects, including own projects and third party turnkey EPC services. It has commissioned 95MW solar PV projects.
