Lokesh Machines Ltd is set to enter into an agreement with EMCO GmbH of Austria for the manufacture and sale of the latter's machines in India and export supplies.

Chairman M. Lokeswara Rao has informed the board that the company has agreed to enter into an agreement with the Austrian company for manufacture of their machines.

The tie-up announcement was made at the ongoing machine tool fair IMTEX 2017.

According to the arrangement, Lokesh Machine Tools will soon start manufacture of the next generation multi-tasking machines for the Indian market as well as export requirements.

According to the company, this technology tie-up would help Lokesh expand the customer base beyond traditional automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and offer specialised manufacturing solutions to a host of manufacturers. These machines will be assembled at a new manufacturing facility at Kallakal near Hyderabad.

EMCO group is a leading technological machine tool company based in Austria having manufacturing plants in Austria, Germany and Italy. It specialises in multi-tasking and multi-axis turning and milling machines and five-axis machining centres. It has installations at leading automotive, aerospace and general engineering companies in Europe and the US.

The Hyderabad-based Lokesh Machines has a global clientele and is known for machine tool manufacturing capabilities and as a supplier to some of the global companies in Japan, Germany, Italy and other markets.

Lokesh Machines is amongst the select companies to manufacture and supply machines for Euro 6 engines.
