LT Foods today posted consolidated net profit of Rs 14.91 crore for the third quarter ended December, 2012 on higher sales.
The company had clocked a net loss of Rs 8.23 crore in the same quarter last year.
Net income rose to Rs 583.87 crore for the reported quarter, last year, from Rs 436.40 crore in the same period last year, LT Foods said in a BSE filing.
The company reported profit in the third quarter despite rise in expenditure to Rs 534.26 crore from Rs 375.77 crore in the period under the review.
The Gurgoan based LT Foods is a diversified agri-business and food company dealing in organic foods, grain storage and snacks businesses.
Shares of the company rose by 8.6 per cent to settle at Rs 58.70 apiece on the BSE.
