L&T Technology Services has inaugurated a Global Engineering Service Centre (GESC) in Chennai.
According to a press release from the company, L&T Technology Services will provide mechanical and electronics engineering services for Takata technical centres in Japan, US and Germany.
The centre will enhance the global engineering research and development capabilities for next-generation automobile occupant safety and protection systems.
Takata’s main businesses are in the manufacture and sale of automotive seat belts, airbags, steering wheels, interior trim and fabrics .
