Suzuki Motorcycle India launched four new models – motorcycles V Strom 1000, Inazuma and Gixxer, and scooter Let’s.
Gixxer is the company’s flagship model for the Indian market with 155 cc engine, while Let’s is targeted at urban youth. Inazuma is a 250 cc offering and marks Suzuki’s entry into the premium bike segment, while V Strom 1000 is
for the super premium bike segment, the company said.
Piaggio super-models
Europen manufacturer of two-wheelers Piaggio displayed top models from its product range comprising superbikes, motorcycles, scooters and commercial vehicles. The company plans to expand its operations in the Indian two-wheeler market with more products from the Vespa brand. The Vespa S will be the next model to debut in the Indian market, the company said. The Piaggio Liberty, with a 125 cc 3V engine, which is one of the world’s most popular scooters would also enter the Indian shores in the future. The company also showcased some of the superbikes brands such as Moto Guzzi, California 1400 Touring, Aprilia, RSV4 R ABS.
Alpha from Yamaha
Yamaha Motor India launched its latest offering for the scooter market, Alpha. Priced at ₹49,518, the automatic scooter targets family customers. The model adopts an air-cooled 4-stroke 113 cc engine with CVT (continuous variable transmission). It will be launched in February and the sales plan targets 2 lakh units.
