German luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz will launch the next generation GL-class in India on May 16 and A-class hatchbacks in the next three months.
The GL-class is a sports utility vehicle (SUV) that has been built since 2006. A three-row, 7-seater passenger vehicle, it is slotted above the M-class (another SUV). The GL-class would be launched by German tennis legend Boris Becker – who also is the brand ambassador of Mercedes-Benz - in Delhi.
The company, which has already launched the G63 AMG (SUV), would be launching the diesel variant of B-class (sports tourer), apart from GL and A-class in this year.
A-class hatchback, which is the most successful car for the company, would be launched in both diesel and petrol versions.
The company is also looking at increasing its outlets to about 64 from the present 57.
