Mercedes-Benz India has registered sales of 2,554 units during the period January to March 2014 period, versus 2009 units in the same period of last year, representing growth of 27% year on year.
“The company has witnessed a surging demand for the new S-Class, ML-Class and GL-Class, all of which are currently wait listed, even after producing them locally. Additionally, our New Generation Cars portfolio comprising the A-Class and B-Class continues to witness significant demand as India embraces compact luxury," said Eberhard Kern, MD & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said.
The volume drivers continue to be the C-Class and the new E –Class.
