Luxury home appliances maker Miele India is betting big on business generated through sales to real estate players for their upcoming premium residential projects in the next two-three years.
The company’s new range Miele 6000, includes refrigeration, cooking and baking, dishwashing and laundry care appliances, is user-friendly and can be customised, said the company, which entered India in 2009.
Dhananjay Chaturvedi, Managing Director, said: “We have been tying up with key luxury real estate developers, with expectations that the real estate sector will pick up after facing a slowdown. I believe 2015 will be a year which will be a point of inflection for a brand like ours.
“Our accumulated sales pipeline from the project development segment pending deliveries is nearly ₹550 crore, which we hope to deliver in the next two-three years.”
Though he did not give specifics on the current turnover, Chaturvedi said the company expected to grow in double digits.
Miele India also plans to expand its presence through tie-ups with international modular kitchen dealers for retail sales.
In addition, it has been selling appliances to hospitals, hotels and pharmaceutical companies.
Currently, the company is selling its luxury home appliances products through modular kitchen dealers and some standalone boutique stores and has an experience centre in New Delhi.
The company hopes to increase its presence in tier 2 -3 cities, such as Chandigarh, Kanpur, Raipur, Coimbatore and Jaipur, besides Kolkata.
