Gamesa India, the Indian arm of the global wind turbine major of the same name, on Thursday reported that it has won an 80-MW order from an independent power producer who wants to set up a wind farm in Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
Only last week, Gamesa announced that it had recently bagged orders worth 220 MW from various customers.
Also, Gamesa India’s contribution to the parent company’s global revenues has increased sharply from 22 per cent last year to 33 per cent in the first quarter of the current year.
In 2013-14, when the country added 2,126 MW of wind power capacity, Gamesa emerged as the top supplier of wind turbines, with sales of 426 MW.
