My Home Group, a conglomerate with interests in cement. real estate, power & education, has diversified into solar energy. In a small step, the Group company ABJA Power has signed up with PuREnergy, a company incubated at IIT Hyderabad and involved in solar energy solutions.
The initial focus will be on rooftop and utility scale projects catering to the needs of residential, commercial and industrial segments, where My Home Group has increasingly growing interests.
This alliance will execute joint projects in the areas of smart and innovative solar system, IoT-based energy management, health monitoring/diagnosis of solar plants, skill development and R & D activities, a press release stated.
ABJA Power (earlier My Home Power Ltd) will focus on project management part, while PuREnergy supported by IIT Hyderabad will focus on design& development part. This arrangement will focus on power projects on the EPC (engineering, procurement & construction) model.
The My Home Group Chairman, Rameswar Rao, said the emphasis will be on developing sustainable projects and encouraging start-ups in line with the Telangana State Government’s commitment towards implementation of green energy sustainable development.
Nishanth Dongari, Founder, PuREnergy, said the present focus is on residential and commercial projects to complement the smart city programmes. “We have plans to enter into large-scale utility projects in the upcoming solar parks across the nation.”
