Mytrah Energy, an independent wind energy company, today announced the commissioning of the first phase of a 50-megawatt (MW) wind farm at Bhesada in Rajasthan.

The capacity of this first phase is 16.8 MW, bringing Mytrah’s total operational capacity to 560 MW.

The project is the first of a 200-MW of new wind power capacity expected to be added before the 2016 wind season.

The commissioning of this project will be in two phases, the first of which is being commissioned today and the rest is set to be commissioned ahead of the 2016 wind season. The entire project contains 24 wind turbine generators of 2.1 MW each.

Currently, Mytrah has deployed 117.6 MW capacity of wind energy in the State through its Mokal & Kaladonger projects and this will be the third deployment in Rajasthan.
