Mphasis has appointed Jai Ganesh to head its Next Labs initiative.
Ganesh, has joined Mphasis from Cognizant where he was the Director, SMAC Solutions. In this role, he will head the new initiative by Mphasis which will undertake research and innovate in emerging and future technologies, according to a company statement.
This group will consist of an inter disciplinary group of employees from maths, statistics, psychology, economics and other social sciences, company executives said. Ganesh will get this team to focus on SMAC (Social, Mobility, Analytics and Cloud), IoT and Automation areas through applied research, IP Creation, platform and solution development. Further, Mphasis Next Labs will work with academia, research labs, start-ups and new technology partners, company executives said.
The company did not disclose the amount of investment made in this group.
