Nissan Motor India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan’s Nissan Motor Co, has reduced the prices of its vehicles by 4-6 per cent effective February 18, following a reduction in excise duty in the interim Budget.

The price reduction will apply to Micra Active, Micra, Sunny, Evalia, Terrano and Teana, the company said in a statement.

“The reduction in excise duty is a welcome move towards revival of the Indian automobile industry. We at Nissan are happy to pass 100 per cent of the tax benefit to our customers. We are confident this will make our products more accessible and drive growth,” said Kenichiro Yomura, President, Nissan India Operations.
