NMDC Ltd, the country's largest iron ore producer, has decided to pay Rs 55,600 to every eligible workmen on the regular rolls towards annual performance incentive for the financial year 2017.
The decision was taken at its apex joint council meeting and corporate level bipartite committee meeting held at Kolkata on October 6, 2017. This is part of the annual performance incentive scheme.
N Baijendra Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of NMDC, along with all functional directors of NMDC and members of All India Trade Union of NMDC have come to a consensus on the incentive at the apex joint council meeting where in Gurudas Dasgupta, Ex- Member of Parliament and President of All India NMDC Workers Federationm was also present.
Both the CMD of NMDC and President, All India NMDC Workers Federation praised the dedicated efforts of all employees which resulted in achieving these highest-ever record production of 34 million tonnes and sales of 35.6 mt of iron ore during 2016-17.
NMDC has a dedicated team of around 5,500 employees on its roll.
