Phillips Carbon Black Ltd on Friday reported a net loss of Rs 32.91 crore in the second quarter ended September 30 against a net profit of Rs 20.83 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The FY13 H1 net loss stood at Rs 26.34 crore against a profit Rs 62.43 crore in FY12 H1. Imports from China outpriced PCBL. Though price increase resulted in net sales growth of 3 per cent in value terms, it’s sales volumes dipped 8 per cent.
