Luxury sports car manufacturer Porsche has opened a new showroom in Gurgaon, which is built in line with the Stuttgart-based manufacturer’s global retail architectural standards.

“It is with pride that we welcome enthusiasts and customers to a new Porsche destination in India. This world-class showroom is a tangible example of the commitment that Porsche has for the Indian market,” Anil Reddi, Director at Porsche India, said.

Construction of the showroom had started in June 2012. The facility offers 10,900 square feet space across two levels and has a display space for up to 15 cars.

“The entire Porsche range now has a contemporary home in Gurgaon. Porsche Centre Gurgaon will be a landmark in automotive retail in more ways than one,” Rashy Todd, Managing Director at Porsche Centre Gurgaon, said.

Volkswagen Group’s luxury sports car maker Porsche is on a sales network expansion drive in India as part of its strategy to increase foothold in the country.

Porsche India is looking to enhance its presence in East India as well as to spread its reach.

“While Porsche Centre Gurgaon is our newest showroom, we are all set to open another contemporary facility soon in Mumbai which will be followed later this year by a new one at Kolkata,” Porsche India Director Anil Reddi told PTI.

The company is present in eight cities – Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata and Mumbai.

On the Gurgaon outlet, he said the facility offers 10,900 sq ft space across two levels with display space for up to 15 cars and “the world-class showroom is a tangible example of the commitment that Porsche has for the Indian market”.

Porsche India is a division of Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt Ltd. It has been the official importer for Porsche’s range of luxury sports cars since April 1, 2012.

Its range of cars includes Boxster, Cayman, 911, Cayenne and Panamera. These are available in a price range of Rs 71.17 lakh-Rs 2.66 crore.
