HIL Limited, part of the diversified $1.6 billion CK Birla Group has appointed Prashant Vatkar as its new Managing Director.
He will drive growth and lead business expansion at HIL, said a press release from the company today.
In his previous assignment, Prashant was the Chief Executive Officer for International Business at Britannia Industries based in Dubai. With MBA from IIM Ahmedabad, Prashant has in his experience of over two decades successfully led brands such as Marico, Samsonite, Heinz and Britannia.
Speaking about his appointment as the Managing Director of HIL Ltd, Prashant Vatkar said, "HIL has a sound business model and is well positioned in terms of products, market penetration and profitability. The country and the economy are poised for major investments in infrastructure, and I see many opportunities for HIL to grow faster in near and medium future.
On his assignment, Prashant said " I am looking forward to working with an extraordinary team to deliver disruptive and yet sustainable growth in the next few years. We will work with a mindset of "Think Big with feet on the ground."
