Reliance Power on Tuesday reported a marginal 2.8 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 276.47 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.
The company’s consolidated net profit in the year—ago period was Rs 268.88 crore, Reliance Power said in a statement.
The company’s consolidated income from operations rose to Rs 1,584.93 crore, from Rs 1,296.10 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY14, it said.
For the year ended March 2014, the company’s consolidated net profit was almost flat at Rs 1,028.32 crore, from Rs 1,026.67 crore in the year ended March 31, 2014.
On a standalone basis, the company reported a net profit of Rs 3.90 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015.
The company had reported a standalone net loss of Rs 34.56 crore in the January—March quarter of FY14, it said.
The company’s standalone total income from operations declined to Rs 32.92 crore, over Rs 62.02 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY14, it said.
The company further said that its power generating capacity now is 5,945 MW.
It said that the 3,960 MW Sasan Ultra Mega Power project in Madhya Pradesh is fully commissioned.
It added that Rosa Power Plant in Uttar Pradesh generated 8,592 million units (MU), Butibori Power Plant in Maharashtra generated 3,648 MU, Maharashtra generated 78 MU and 40 MW Dhursar solar photo—voltaic plant in Rajasthan generated 72 MU, besides 45 MW wind capacity in Vashpet.
The company’s shares closed 0.19 per cent down at Rs 53.55 apiece on the BSE.
