SML Isuzu said following the cancellation of an order dated July 16, 2009, for supply of 300 customised buses placed on the company, it had invoked the arbitration clause of the contract and lodged its claim before the Arbitral Tribunal for losses.
In a filing to the stock exchange, the company said the tribunal had awarded Rs 11,52,44,252 for the losses/cost incurred.
SML Isuzu added that the award was subject to challenge by the customer.
