Scooters India Ltd on Friday reported net profit of Rs 10.80 crore for the peroid ended March 31, boosted by other income and decline in expenses. The company had reported net loss of Rs 51.80 lakh in the same period a year ago.
Net sales in the quarter under review stood at Rs 48.44 crore, down 7.36 per cent compared to Rs 52.29 crore in the corresponding period last year. Other income in the January-March 2014 was at Rs 7.79 crore.
Overall expenses declined 14.12 per cent to Rs 45.43 crore as against Rs 52.9 crore in the same period a year ago.
Shares of Scooters India closed at Rs 20.35 a piece at the end of the day’s trade, up 4.90 per cent from previous close on the BSE.
