Mumbai-based Shamrao Vithal Co-operative (SVC) Bank on Monday announced the change in its brand logo reflecting the bank’s vision for future business expansion.

The new logo is a combination of ‘S’ and ‘V’ with an upward spiral signaling growth which culminates into the new logo of SVC Bank heralding a new age prosperity for the bank and its customers, the bank said in a statement.

In FY14, the urban co-operative bank reported a new profit of Rs 103 crore with business increasing 16 per cent to Rs 17,400 crore.

Suresh Hemmady, Chairman of SVC Bank, said, “Our new brand logo is aimed at garnering recall among today’s youth who are an important and crucial segment of our audience. It represents the bank’s core values of trust and progress as it takes a step forward. This change enhances the bank’s status in the country and provides differentiation needed to stand out in a competitive and crowded marketplace.”

Set up in 1906, the bank added 17 new branches last year with a total network of 157 branches across 9 states. SVC Bank has employee strength of 2,200 across the country.
