The industry sector and the venture capital unit of Siemens AG have launched a $100-million venture capital fund. The new fund will back start-up companies early in their lifecycle and foster partnerships with companies which will transform industrial markets. Siemens in a statement said the ‘Industry of the Future Fund’ complements its existing VC funds which invest in more mature start-ups.
