Electrical goods maker Siemens Ltd has reported a robust 82 per cent increase in profit for quarter ended March 31, due to decline in cost of materials and increase in other income.
For the quarter the company reported ₹161 crore profit, which was ₹88 crore in the year-ago quarter.
On the other hand, net sales for the quarter dipped by 2.5 per cent to ₹2,588 crore (₹2,657 crore).
For the quarter, the cost of material declined to ₹964 crore from ₹1,169 crore in the comparable quarter of the previous year.
