Former Australian cricket captain Steve Waugh’s online investment platform for developers and property owners, Waugh Global has tied up with HomeUnion, an online real estate firm, to provide its clients to purchase fully vetted and managed residential properties in 11 markets across the US.
“HomeUnion offers investors an online real estate investment and management experience for buying single-family rental (SFR) and multifamily properties,” according to Don Ganguly, CEO, HomeUnion. He said with a combination of big data and on-the-ground real estate experts, the company match investors with these properties based on their individualised investment goals, whether they are seeking high yields, appreciation or balanced investments.
HomeUnion recently raised $16 million in a Series B funding and has till date received $23 million in funding from venture capital firms. It has closed more than $50 million in real estate transaction notes.
Housing prices in the United States have gone up by 7.2 per cent over the past year and is pegged at increasing by another 3 per cent this year. In order to provide significant returns to the investor-clients, an opportunity is being presented to own assets in the US.
