Sun TV Network Ltd has reported 2.15 per cent drop in net profit at ₹185.79 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2013, against ₹189.88 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The drop can primarily be attributed to 7.2 per cent year-on-year decline in advertising revenue at ₹272 crore.
It has declared third interim dividend of ₹2.50 a share (50 per cent) on a face value of ₹5 a share. With this, the total dividend declared by the board for the year is ₹7.25 a share – 145 per cent.
The quarterly turnover grew 5 per cent to ₹523.19 crore (₹496.41 crore).
