In order to expand its footprint in the renewable energy space, wind power producer Suzlon Energy has acquired five companies for an undisclosed amount.
In a BSE statement, Suzlon said that these companies have been primarily acquired for creating SPVs (special purpose vehicles), which would then be used for solar power projects. The acquired firms are Gale Solarfarms, Tornado Solarfarms, Abha Solarfarms, Aalok Solarfarms and Shreyas Solarfarms. They have been acquired for implementing various renewable energy projects across the country.
