Syndicate Bank is organising an MSME meet in Coimbatore on June 17 and 18.
“We expect to give some on-the-spot sanctions during this two-day event,” the bank's Executive Director M Anjaneya Prasad said.
The bank, which is now looking aggressively at the SME sector, plans to organise a similar event at Tirupur on June 19 and 20.
The Tirupur event would be followed by one at Erode soon thereafter, he said.
The bank in the meantime is gearing up to open specialised MSME and mid-corporate branches.
“Such branches are intended to service the targeted groups,” the ED said.
Besides the MSME and mid-corporate segment, the bank is also eyeing the retail segment for growth.
The bank is targeting 20 per cent growth this fiscal and hopes to achieve a business level of Rs 4,79,000 cr.
