ONGC on Saturday said it has appointed Tapas Kumar Sengupta as Director (Offshore) of the company.
Sengupta took over the reins after the superannuation of his predecessor P K Borthakur on January 31.
Sengupta’s onshore experience portfolio comprises of well services in Gujarat and Assam for 11 years, and 4 years inSudan as part of ONGC Videsh. “His four years overseas tenure at Sudan as a General Manager in Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company, saw an increase of the oil production through innovative engineering interventions,” ONGC said in a statement.
