Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces has won Best Hotel Group in India and Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad was awarded the Best Heritage Hotel at the Travel + Leisure–India’s Best Awards 2016.

Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces was named Best Hotel Group in India by readers’ choice, an accolade that comes as a testament to the rich heritage of the Taj brand, rooted in and inspired by the rituals and traditions of Indian hospitality.

Taj Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad, which is amongst the most luxurious of all Baroque mansions in India, was voted Best Heritage Hotel by readers.

An 11-year restoration by Taj created an exclusive address that offers guests a glimpse of the regal lifestyle of Nizams. The interiors are a statement of royal opulence, replete with large Venetian chandeliers, rare furniture, grand marble staircases, priceless statues and objects d'art. Stained-glass windows and murals encased in ornate frames highlight the palace’s history.
