TATA Toyo Radiator Ltd, a subsidiary of Tata AutoComp Systems, inaugurated its new production facility in Sri City.

The Tata Toyo plant has been developed on a 5-acre plot in the Domestic Tariff Zone at an initial investment of around ₹10 crore.

Factory expansion

The factory will be expanded in phases and providing employment opportunity for about 60 persons. In Sri City, the factory will manufacture radiators and condensers, according to a statement from Sri City.

Hiroyasu Miura, Chairman and Managing Director of Isuzu Engineering Business Centre and Hiromi Kano, President, Toyo Radiator (also knon as T.RAD Co. Ltd.), unveiled the plaque. Miura said: “Tata AutoComp, along with T.RAD, has always tried to be at the forefront in offering cutting-edge technologies to their esteemed customers. It is advantageous to locate the plant in the close vicinity of OEMs.”

Kano said their partnership with Tata AutoComp is growing and adding more products in its portfolio.

Tata AutoComp, incorporated in 1997 in Pune, along with its joint venture partner T.RAD of Japan, manufactures radiators, intercoolers, heater cores among other products.

The company has an integrated manufacturing facility at Hinjewadi near Pune. ISUZU, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland are among its customers.
