Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched its training model T-TEP (BP) at Don Bosco Technical Campus in Chennai. T-TEP trains ITI students and hands-on experience in Toyota outlets. The latest launch is Toyota’s fourth institutional tie-up in Tamil Nadu, following Mohanmull Chordia Jain Industrial Training Center, Chennai, and two in Government Industrial Training Institute, Paramakudi two years back, said a statement. Over 240 students have been trained by Toyota through this one year-programme in the State, and more than 80 per cent have been recruited by Toyota dealers.Since launch in 2006, T-TEP has associated with 48 training institutes in 17 states across the country and 6,750 persons trained with more than 60 per cent recruited by Toyota’s dealerships.
