VA Tech Wabag, a water and waste water management company, has won Rs 250 crore repeat order from Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). According to S Natrajan, sales head, VA Tech Wabag, the order is for design and construction of 90 million litres per day (mld) waste water treatment plant at Bellandur Amanikere near Bangalore with operations and maintenance (O&M) for seven years. BWSSB is executing the project funded by Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA).
“Repeat order from BWSSB gives us confidence of municipal clients based on track record and execution capability,” said Natrajan. Currently, the company is executing a waste water treatment plant project at K&C Valley for BWSSB which is also funded by JICA. In addition, Wabag has been operating and maintaining five such plants in and around Bangalore.
