Tata Chemicals today said former Finance Commission chairman Vijay Kelkar has resigned from the company’s Board.
Kelkar was appointed on the Board of Tata Group firm on May 30, 2012. He has also served as chairman of the National Stock Exchange and the 13th Finance Commission, besides being adviser to Finance Minister.
“... Vijay L Kelkar, non-executive independent director, has resigned from the Board of the company with effect from April 1, 2015,” the company said in a regulatory filing.
According to details available on the company’s website, there are 8 other Directors on the Board of the company, including Tata Group chairman Cyrus Mistry.
