Volkswagen India today reported 17.77 per cent increase in sales at 3,572 units in April.
The company had sold 3,033 units in the same month last year.
The increase in sales comes on the back of recent successful launches of the new Jetta and Vento Magnific, Volkswagen India said in a statement.
Its hatchback Polo also contributed to increase in sales, it added.
“The growth we achieved in April is higher than the industry average, and we remain confident of continuing to improve our sales figures over the coming months,” said Michael Mayer, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Volkswagen Group Sales India.
