D Hegde, Director, The United Nilgiri Tea Estates Co Ltd (UNITEA) based in Chamraj, 25 kilometres from Coonoor, (a unit of Chennai-based Amalgamations group) and former President of the United Planters’ Association of Southern India (UPASI), has been elected Vice Chairman of Tea Board for 2017-18.
He had served on Tea Board’s different committees in the past.
