Edible oils prices shot up on Friday as local refineries increased their rates for palmolein by ₹15-20 and for soya oil by ₹5/10 kg each tracking weak rupee and bullish overseas futures.
Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹542, soyabean refined oil ₹630. Ruchi’s rates: palmolein ₹532, soyabean refined oil ₹625 and sunflower refined oil ₹760. Allana traded palmolein for ₹540, soya refined ₹630, sunflower refined oil ₹760.
In Saurashtra/Rajkot, groundnut oil telia tin declined to ₹1,390 (1,420) and loose (10 kg) dropped to ₹880 (900).
BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg): groundnut oil 930 (935), soya ref. oil 625 (616), sunflower exp. ref. 690 (680), sunflower ref. 755 (750), rapeseed ref. oil 790 (780), rapeseed exp. ref. 760 (750), cottonseed ref. oil 600 (595) and palmolein 525 (508).
