Spot rubber improved on covering purchases at lower levels. RSS 4 firmed up to ₹112.50 (₹112) a kg, according to traders and the Rubber Board. The grade closed marginally higher at ₹109.50 (₹109) as reported by the dealers.
September futures weakened to ₹113.80 (₹115.57), October to ₹113.89 (₹115.19) on the National Multi Commodity Exchange. RSS 3 (spot) slipped to ₹92.50 (₹92.93) at Bangkok.
September futures closed at ¥163.3 (₹89.51) on the Tokyo Commodity Exchange. Spot rubber rates (₹/kg): RSS-4: 112.50 (112); RSS-5: 108 (107); Ungraded: 96 (95); ISNR 20: 98 (98) and Latex (60% drc): 79 (79).
