Sugar prices on the Vashi market gained further by ₹10-15 a quintal tracking firm trend at upper level. Producers sold the commodity at ₹30-50 higher on increased festival demand. Naka prices were steady.
Vashi market carries about 110-115 truckload stocks. Currently arrivals matched with local offtake adding no pressure on markets.
Arrivals increased to 63-64 truck loads while local dispatches were 62-63 loads. On Monday evening, 14-15 mills offered tenders and sold 47,000-48,000 bags at ₹2,380-2,450 (2,330-2,410) for S-grade and ₹2,460-2,550 (2,430-2,530) for M-grade.
The Bombay Sugar Merchants Association’s spot rates: S-grade ₹2,466-2,592 (2,460-2,601) and M-grade ₹2,546-2,682 (2,540-2,682). Naka delivery rates: S-grade ₹2,450-2,530 (2,450-2,530) and M-grade ₹2,550-2,640 (2,550-2,640).
