Opposite trend was witnessed in indigenous and imported edible oils on Monday tracking weak futures amid need base physical demand. Activities were very limited during the day despite sharp reduction in rates by local refineries.

Sources said due to higher selling pressure volume remained thin. During the day about 250 tonnes palmolein resold at ₹588-594 for September. Emami sold about 500 tonnes palmolein at ₹590 for 20 October. Groundnut and cotton oil ruled firm tracking tight Saurashtra markets. Liberty: Palmolein ex JNPT ₹607 for 30 September. Ex STC / Shapur were ₹609 / ₹610 for 31 October. Super palmolein ₹632 up to 31October.

Allana: Palmolein Ex Khapoli ₹615 for 1-20 October. Soya refined oil ₹685 for October- 15 November. Sunflower refined oil ₹700 up to October.

Ruchi: Soyabean refined oil ₹670 for October. Sunflower refined oil ₹695 for October.

Golden agri: Palmolein ₹603 for 20 October. Emami: Palmolein ₹605 for 20 October.

At Rajkot: groundnut oil Telia Tin was steady at ₹1,290 (1,290) and Loose (10 kg) at ₹800 (800). Groundnut arrivals in Gondal – Rajkot were about 18,000 bags and its prices was ₹600-695.

Malaysian crude palm oil, October- 17 futures declined to MYR 2,715 (MYR 2,748) and November -17 ended lower at MYR2,690 (MYR 2,735).

On NCDEX: Soyabean refined oil October-17 futures dropped by one per cent to ₹675.00 (681.60) and November-17 by same margin to ₹675 (682.25).

On BCE spot rates (₹/10 kg) were: groundnut oil 840 (830), soya refined oil 665 (665), sunflower exp. ref. 635 (635), sunflower ref. 700 (695), rapeseed ref. oil 790 (790), rapeseed expeller ref. 760 (760), cottonseed ref. oil 680 (678) and Palmolein 594 (596). Our Correspondent
