With the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley away from the country on a private trip, his earlier planned post-budget meeting with India Inc for March 4 now stands cancelled.

The meeting slated for March 4 (Wednesday) has been cancelled and it may happen on some other date, official sources said.

The Finance Ministry had initially planned to schedule the meeting for March 2, but later decided to put it off to March 4.

Jaitley's first full-fledged budget has received "mixed reactions" with some even contending that there was nothing "big-bang " about it.

His decision to go for growth as against following earlier indicated path of fiscal consolidation has not gone well with some economists.
