For the first time, the CA Institute plans to frame a model roadmap for Indian economy and submit it to the new Central Government on its first day in office.
Towards this end, the CA Institute will host a national summit on "Indian economy and way forward" in the capital on Saturday, Anuj Goyal, Central Council Member, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), said here today.
The national summit is likely to discuss the economic issues facing the country including taxation and legal reforms and suggest the way forward Eminent Spiritual Leader and Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev will be the chief guest of this national summit that will also see several high profile chartered accountants including Piyush Goyal, Member of Parliament address the gathering.
The roadmap is likely to emphasise on the need for simpler tax laws, introduction of goods and services tax and other tax reforms.
